In Iran, especially in pistachio orchards, poultry manure is widely used and it is better Iranian Pistachio to avoid the continuous use of poultry manure in pistachio orchards and use another organic fertilizer at least every three or five years. Consumption of this fertilizer is not recommended for young (15 years old) trees due to its high nitrogen content of more than 10 tons per hectare. In case of fertile and old trees, its application rate can be increased up to 20 tons per hectare.
